The new Dowagiac Fire Station is under construction! In celebration, a beam signing ceremony took place on Friday, May 31. It was a great event, and VK is thankful to be a part of the project as the civil engineer. This project has a stellar team of owners, designers, and contractors, and we look forward to the completion of the Fire Station!

VK Civil is proud to have sponsored a Western Michigan University Civil Engineering Senior Design Team in their Capstone Project! The team’s project involved a site design of the Northwest Cancer Center proposed in Northern Indiana. They learned real world engineering practices and professional skills that they will use as they enter the workforce. The students did a fantastic job with their presentation. June 2 was the grand opening of the splash pad at Caledonia’s Community Green Park. Bringing the community together in celebration, marking the beginning of a summer filled with laughter and cherished moments for all who visit. VK Civil was delighted to partner with EV Construction to add the splash pad to the park’s array of recreational offerings.
